Innovation Lab and Digital Faisalabad team collaborated to donate 9000 (Nine Thousand) Face Shields to District Health Officer (Preventive Services) Faisalabad, Dr. Bilal Ahmed at his office on December 04, 2020.
Mr. Muhammad Bilal, CEO Connect Ventures & Digital Faisalabad along with Mr. Farhan Bari, CEO WebSolUK, Director Digital Faisalabad handed over the shields on behalf of Innovation Lab and Digital Faisalabad.
Around 1500 tests are performed each day by health workers on behalf of District Govt, and all the frontline workers face extreme danger of getting exposed to possible COVID-19 Virus carriers and deal with patients and suspects in very close contact, these Face Shields will provide them an extra layer of safety during their day to day activities, and we will be distributing some to Hospitals and Clinics as well. – Dr Bilal Said.
Digital Faisalabad team shared their views about on-going activities of Digital Faisalabad platform to facilitate the public under its various initiatives, public health and safety during COVID-19 is very important, and these shields would save many lives indirectly by protecting the field workers, Doctors and Paramedics who have been tirelessly working with Corona Patients and suspects during 1st wave and now rapidly rising 2nd wave of Corona pandemic in the country.
Digital Faisalabad has been working closely with Innovation Lab on various initiatives including Air Quality Monitoring and Energy Conservation.
